My 100% Ebay record - RIP

Re:

A few months ago I made an offer on some bike part. The seller never got back to me to accept/decline so I got one elsewhere. Then I was given negative feedback as I hadn't paid for the item . Having explained the situation, eBay withdrew the feedback , allowing it as a one-off. FFS !

Re:

See it from the buyers perspective though. In the past I won an item on ebay with a very low bid, the seller then gave me some BS that he'd checked the item and found a fault so was no longer happy selling it to me. On another occasion I had the email saying the item was dispatched only for it never to turn up, the seller was then very quick to refund me claiming it must have been lost in the post. I'm 99% sure he simply never sent it as he didn't want to sell it for peanuts. Quite a good tactic that one!!! On both those occasions I was pretty annoyed and considered leaving negative or neutral feedback. In the end I just didn't leave any feedback as I'm not a very confrontational person.

Worst case I have seen was a few years ago when I was checking a sellers feedback. Someone had written. In retrospect I paid too much for this. And gave negative feedback. It was the first neg the guy had in five hundred plus auctions as well. Bet he was dead pleased. Hopefully e bay will have deleted it

I got screwed over selling a car - a lady came to buy, then her partner, he was the twat on this occasion. I politely told them to eff off in the strongest possible terms and dumped them out away from my house and village just in case he got any silly ideas.

I of course got negative feedback but it paled into insignificance when compared to theirs received from others. They were banned in the end and my feedback restored.

I still sell and have been lucky to meet nice people on the way.
