How do I...? Rear brake query...

Can anyone help me? I think it's a simple one, but I'm stuck at the mo...

I've recently bought a 1990 Cannondale SM800 which I'm currently building up.

The rear brake attachment has confused me. I've attached some pics, but as you can see, the front forks are fine with the little locator holes for the cantilever/v-brake pins, but the rear has no little locator holes??

Can anyone shed some light? Am I missing something?
