How accurate are catalogs?

Can you imagine how costly that'd be to have the right sized oval, at the right joint position per frame size? 🤣
Yep, hence why I see the issue being in the tube selection phase.

Still doesn’t answer the splined/fluted vs round in ā€˜94 Explosifs question. Cant currently reach mine (other crap in the way) to see if there is evidence of ā€˜93 colouring under the ā€˜94 green on mine.

The geometry was slightly different, 94 was the year they moved from a 395mm axle to crown fork to a suspension corrected 410mm. With a corresponding reduction in headtube length to maintain stack height. šŸ‘ 😁

So should I be running 395s or 410s?

If it's a 94 then 410mm. šŸ‘
That’s good, as I have both threaded and unthreaded triple butted P2s - it’s currently has the threaded fitted. When I can get to it, I’ll go and start measuring to see if my splined/fluted ā€˜94 is really a ā€˜94 or a sneaky ā€˜93. šŸ˜€

The frames are still going strong. Never seen a failure there.
(The 95/6 one of them..did snap at the chain stay junction like other frames. Redesigned in 97, but not at the big tube junction.).
So just an aesthetic problem for you, not a structural problem. ;-)

Pretty sure they didn't alter this for the catalogues either..... Whistles...

Very much an aesthetic issue!
