Hope hub. and C2 caliper

I need an old style Hope front splined disk hub (and spider if poss.) and C2 No. 3 caliper or caliper half to complete my Pace RC35 disk conversion. I've finally found the Hope mounting kit after a LONG search.

Must be usable, but don't have to be perfect.

Can anyone help me out??

Then you have GOT to put a disk on the front of one of your bikes.

But I get first dibs on any hubs!!! :shock:

You have no idea how scarce theose kits are. I remember seeing one in a shop in Ludlow in about 1999. They'd had for about 3 years and had decided not to sell it 'cos people kept crushing the fork leg fitting them! :roll: Hope withdrew them, as far as I know, for the same reason.

I went back the next week to buy it with loads of cash and they'd sold it! Seems me asking has reminded them they had it. :?

Any hoo. I've finally got one and I'm gonna find the other bits I need if it kills me!

Sounds like I might have a source for spider and caliper, but I'm still after a hub.

I'd really like to sort an RC35 wuth a disk brake for a nice blingy Retro Brit bike build.

Anyone got one and could help me out???

What is it you are looking for? I'm not much good with names or part numbers. Do you have a scan or a picture? I have an old Hope hydraulic system consisting of a circular clamp that clamps on to Rockshox Judys, the brake thingy with cylinders, hose and caliper. Also a wheel with a Hope hub and Mavic rim.

I need a caliper like this one..... (Hope C2 No. 3)

.....and a hub like this one (but for a disk).

Same kind of thing, but with one side a bit like the rear one here with a fitting for a splined spider.

It has to be the three piece hub with pressed on alloy flanges because they are the only one that can be fitted with narrow spacers.
The caliper mount (the black bits in the big photo) clamp between the hub and the fork dropout, so the hub needs to be narrow on one side.

If the Judy mounts you have are similar and the hub in the wheel is the one that goes with it, then it's probably what I'm after.

I don't think they look the same. Are these earlier or later? Does anyone know the Hope time line? What do you think, are they what you are looking for? Sorry about the picture quality, they were done with a Blackberry.
