Hope C2 Brakes - a little advice

They are really easy to bleed. There's a how-to on the Hopetech site if you're in any doubt. Use DOT 5.1 fluid and be patient. You'll soon get the hang of it.
New seals might be a good idea. They're only a couple of quid per brake.

So I stripped and bled these yesterday..........

Condition was pretty manky - corrosion on the inside of the calipers (I separated them to give em a good clean). A little corrosion on the sides of the pistons - which I polished off gently with wet & dry. Hoses will need replacing at some point, though they are useable for now.

They seem to be original Open Pro levers - but didn't have the metal bar that is shown in the pictures above :? Who knows eh?!

Anyway they were ridden today on the Retrobike ride at Woodbury Common, and while a little spongy (they need a rebleed methinks) they stopped me well enough.

Thanks for all the advice guys :)
