Hi
I bought this Holdsworth Nuovo Record 25" frameset in early 1982 - I was 18 years old with a few bob in my pocket - bought from Hallam Cycles of Bentley, Doncaster for around the £120 mark. That was a lot of dosh back then.
So much infact I didn't have a much left to fit it out with!
The frame number is 041221 and is exactly as seen in the catalogue (there is no Nuovo Record on the top tube).
Parts are pretty much as originally bought - apart from a bb and wheelset.
Mavic brakes, Campag f/r derailleur, SR seatpost, stem & handlebars, Concor saddle, Gipiemme chainset.
It was my TT bike for a few years before turning into a trainer and eventually an everyday commuter - anyway after a number of years in the barn (mainly due to the dodgy bb) I have given it a once over and rightly so!! Obviously I could kick myself for not keeping it in better nick but I'm quite happy with the finish - not perfect but it still rides well.
