RS1 was 1989/90 and i'm pretty sure the first Manitou was 1991, mombat seems to confirm this. There were suspension forks of sorts going back years though

Interesting, a friend of mine and member here known as Dave DH was a student at Aberdeen Uni in the early 90's and he had a Dave Yates Diablo. I wonder if your paths ever crossed ?

OMG! Is he from Edinburgh (Collinton I think?)?. If so, he was one of my best mates! Not seen him much since Uni although we did go to a Mini festival thing in Blackpool a year or two after. Great bloke!
