Should have been here today but Parcel Farce forwarded it to the wrong sorting hub, according to the tracking it's now at the right one.... :roll:

Once it's here I can start making some decisions, have some pretty lightweight bits of kit but it will be a mish mash at best, unless I try and source some period bits. But that would take patience. Which I don't have a lot of at the best of times....

Fancy the idea of a single speed or possibly a 1 x 7, to keep it simple and not replicate what I already have, and also to keep it super lightweight. But I'm not bothered about period kit to be honest, as it's already had the respray, so it's a blank canvas, and I can't afford to get it properly restored.

So....the CK headset turned up today, and as I let myself off work early due to the heat, I came home and fitted it....in the heat....

Not happy with the wheels (too heavy, but my Dad let me have them off my Mum's bike!) or the stem/bars, too short and not wide enough, and unfortunately the green spacer that came with the headset was 5mm too tall so had to put a carbon one in there....but you get the general idea!

Will be concentrating on getting the Giant MTB put together over the next few days so this will be on the back burner until some really nice kit turns up for it, or more specifically, I manage to sell a few bits. As so many have said, can't even give stuff away at the moment, which means the funds are dry. Have everything I need for the Giant so that should be easier :facepalm:

Thanks THM, I'll pass for now, this is going on the back burner and in the meantime I'll be looking for Syncros stuff I think. Need something high rise bar wise, and wide. Probably.... :facepalm:

I love it already, seriously thinking of just hanging it in my place somewhere as wall art while I collect the bits. Except I think the Waxoyl I used on it might run out all over the carpet... :roll:

It's the colour that does it for me, Kawasaki green, even my landlady likes it and she knows nothing about bikes, other than what I tell her and then she glazes over. She wishes she hadn't admired the tyres earlier...

And the slight green tinge to those forks goes with the frame and headset so well!
