Hey guys,
I am the owner of a muddy fox but sadly the brake cables are buggered up and Rather than bring it to a bike repair I would prefer to fix it myself but the other problem is I don't know how to fix it?
I just had a look on ebay for bike accessories but didn't see anything I need for my bike ; (
the bike is a urban impact uav 26 model...

Replacing the brake cables is one of the easiest things you can do, only special tool you'll need is a decent pair of cutters, cheapest reasonable quality cables I know of are from Wilkinsons supermarket and will costs you just over £1 each.

As mentioned above, repairing your own bike is a buzz. The money you save and the satisfaction in a job well done is huge.

But, just bear in mind that failing to correctly fix your gears will just leave you with clicky gears, failing to correctly fix your brakes can leave you with a bike that is potentially fatal. Just read and re-read the park tutorials and then test the brakes hard in a safe environment (not on a downhill towards a busy road junction at rush hour!).

That said, don't let it scare you too much, I'm a real nervous nelly when it comes to brakes. Have fun!

Agreed. I was lucky enough to work as a bike mechanic for two years in college. Before that, I made friends with bike mechanics at my local bike shop. I would be in there almost everyday with a different mechanical problem and pick stuff up from them. Either by watching them do it or just asking their advice. Then again, I had a lot more time to do that sort of thing back then

Proper tools are essential. I would suggest you pick up a bike stand as well. They aren't too expensive.
