Help sorting my bottom bracket nightmare

rather than ruin your frame, would it be possible to have one of the cups rethreaded instead? Fill it, grind it then recut the threads?

Just found this, any opinions on it?? I am using M900 cranks if that helps

I just had one of those arrive today (thanks Pete!) - looks to be really ell engineered and lovely smooth bearings. IMO I'd go for it and get that build finished and dirty. It's only a BB!

Thanks Kev for the quick review. I have just made an interesting discovery though. My bb was made by TNT. Does anyone know if they are still in business?

Am I getting excited prematurely or is there more chance now of finding a cup, as it sounds like they were basically the same bb's. :)

If the bearing outer diameter is 30.0mm you have a good chance of finding a cup that will work. A lot of cartridge-bearing bottom brackets use a standard 30mm 6902 bearing, so a similar cup such as TA or Ritchey Super Logic would likely do the job. You need one with its own external lockring though, not the type that bears on an internal shell.

So the next avenue to consider is whether or not I can use a right hand cup from another bottom bracket with this.

I have seen these for sale at crc, but not sure if it would work. What do you think?

Could I use one or two of these? They are not designed to be used with a lockring, but does that mean that they can't???
I doubt that would work. The location of the bearing seat in the cup isn't going to allow any overhang for the lockring. And you'd still need a lockring. You can't use two of these because you'd need an internal sleeve for the cups to bear on, and your unit doesn't have one.

Yeah but no but yeah but no...

This is the guy needs a 109mm XTR BB right?

Mavic BB was never available that short
I'm pretty sure there was a 110mm for the 631 road/track cranks. Wrong taper though. Mavic tapers are a little narrower than JIS in my experience.
