Give me your thoughts please.

I have a lovely S-Works Direct Drive Ti bottom bracket, but for one reason or another both of the cups are for the left hand side.

I have tried contacting shops, Specialized themselves, and of course you guys to see if anyone can help but so far with no success, so what I was thinking was, can I get the thread on the BB shell recut to be the other way round??

Ridiculous idea!! sounds like you've got an italian threaded BB, the width maybe wrong too, 70mm? as opposed to the 73mm shell width you need.

cheers guys, no really it is all the correct size and type, just had two left handed cups in the box!

Ok, so I'm guessing this idea is not getting any support. I didn't think it was a good idea, but sometimes the craziest are the best  and i am getting desperate, this is holding up the completion of my build!!

The difference between left and right!

Italian threaded frames have 2 left (I think, if not, 2 right!) hand threads whereas British have a left and a right. British is best as with the Italian version one cup can come unthreaded due to the forces upon it.

aha, well if this is the case then I suspect that is what I have, as my lbs said it seems to have two left hand cups.

So theoretically then I could use it if I found another cup then. (not looking bloody likely)!!

If you have an Italian bottom bracket, you won't be able to use it in a frame set up for an English bottom bracket. The cups on the Italian BB are 1mm larger diameter than those on an English BB. See here for details.

Bit pricey but maybe contact royce to see if they can supply a bb with 2 left hand threads.
