Longtime lurker here saying hello! and hoping someone on here can help!
I've been searching for a Mongoose for a few months, without any luck.
I have a box of components waiting to go on the right frame & forks, to recreate the bike I had when I was a lad, it's just the frame that I don't have!
I'm looking for a 1981 or 1982 Mongoose, a chrome gusset frame, front triangle cr-mo (so not a team or supergoose) non-looptail with step dropouts. It only has to be straight with no dents, as I don't mind getting a re-chrome done if the original chrome is too far gone.
Everything I've seen for sale recently has been either too old, too new, nickel, supergoose, motomag, Cali, or built into a bike, and whilst these frames are nice, they are not quite right!
Am I asking too much to be able to find the right frame? and can anyone help?
