help identify this fork

Can you confirm your frame is built using Tange Prestige? Would think so for this team example.

I had a PR-6000 frame only in my hands last week. They are very light frames. You are familar with the Panasonic Virtual Bicycle Museum?

Yes Elev familiar with that site, hubby trolled that site before.

Apparently there are no tube stickers so I'm clueless. As per the Pana catalogue the PRs came with either Tange Prestige or Tange Champion No.1/2 OS tubes. Considering its a team bike custom sized for the rider (its smaller than anything Pana offered in its catalogue - 48.5 to be exact) what's your best guess?

The Panasonic catalogue was for the European market. It could be they had smaller frames in Japan. Given your bike is ex team I think it could very well be it is custom built for the rider and that the tubing is Prestige.

I've also had a Champion No.1 PR-frame in my hands while ago. Still nicely light.

Appreciate your inputs Elev12k.

I'm having it professionally resprayed (same paint scheme) due to many scratches and dulled paint in many areas. The chrome on the chain stays (I discovered the non-drive side stay is also chromed), drop-outs and fork are still excellent tho.

BTW, BB is 68mm but Italian threading. I wonder if the euro PRs came that way. I was told the Jap rider specified this threading for this frame.

Respray in the same paintscheme: good work 8)

Threading with the PR-6000 is British

That's what I thought... and I would assume the Japan PRs would also be.

Never occured to me to ask about the BB threading before I acquired this bike and in fact I had a nice chainset waiting for it only to be told it's got Italian BB coz Japanese rider specified that.

Just happened to see the same fork and I guess this finally puts the mystery to bed. Its a 3Rensho indeed tho this example is for a 650 front...
