I'm new here. I've posted a thread on the main forum as I've decided to do-up my old MTB and am looking for another retro MTB because I don't yet understand things like suspension, disc brakes, modern headsets and stems etc.

I've just spent a few days in Scotland touring around the Kyles of Bute with my wife and we've had a blast on the bikes. She's got a heavy old Ridgeback 602. I might even be able to persuade her to change her bike too - she's made of stern stuff - check out the war wound from a tumble!

I'm sure you will be more than happy to take on a bike you build just for her, plus it will fulfill your need to own and build more than one bike
