Hello and advice please

Just found this forum and it has rekindled my youth!

I've dusted down my Cannondale M800 (bought new in May 1986, Manitou II's, Ringle, USE, Answer, XT, thumb shifters etc, etc) with a desire to strip it down and get back in the saddle, after it has hung in the garage for the best of three years unused - so thanks.

However, I now have an urge to buy something that I simply couldn't afford back in '86 - a Yo Eddy. They seem extremely popular on here (understandably) and I was looking for a guide as to what I should expect to pay for a) a frame b) fully built examples in reasonable condition.

Also how does the wicked compare in terms of ride and price?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Bob

Both seem to fetch upward of £250 plus for a frame. Wickeds come by less frequently.

Log into www.fatcogs.com (Fat Chance forum) for more advice if no more is forthcoming here, though I suspect you'll get the info here!

I was told the Wicked is more race oriented.

Yo's are really in vogue at the mo and fetching good (silly?) money. Cheaper in the states.
Wickeds tend to go for a lot less.

If you are a size M or M/L then the problem gets worse..

Actually, now you mention it I think they are Manitou Sport? Or have I made that up?

This is like going back in time a la Life On Mars...

i know its most likely too large for you but you might still like the photos. you also get a good impression what price you might have to pay.
