Servicing a bike for a friend, I've noticed the lever body leaking hydraulic fluid, what are my options with this, what seal is likely to have gone and are they replaceable? Not worked with hydraulic discs on bikes before, but plenty of experience on cars.

Any help appreciated, thanks.

Could just me the master cyclinder seal under the lever top cap.
Set the lever level, undo the 2 small allen bolts and see if it's squished or damaged.

isnt it missing the plastic bung? it looks like a metal screw or something there (to the right of the torx screw), if its missing, its a common problem

I think he's right you know.
Mine don't say Nine on them but look similar and the don't have the 3rd screw.

Looks like the ball joint of the bladder has been damanged in the past and someone has stuck in an allen bolt.

stewlewis, you have hayes mags i think
the bung is the same though i believe as with he soles too

they pop out quite randomly ive heard, it happened to me twice (got 3 sets of nines), once when i put new pads in and then pushed the pistons back out (pressure build up i guess) and another random time on a new unridden nine   they came out with some force sometimes too, not much chance of finding them
if it is that though £2 and a visit to CRC will solve it
