Have You Ever Seen These Cranks Before? ~ULTRA RARE~

Magic cranks

Yea I remember them, I think somewhere in my stash of mags there is a pic or two, always remember drooling over these.... very nice and as you say very rare... nice 8)

MM

They fell to bits very quickly, as the cranks were machined in two halves then glued together, thats why they didn't sell, not particularly good buy.

yeah alex pong cranks sweet!! i have a magic crank fetish and would love a set of those. they go for crazy money though. I saw the chainrings sell individually for 250 each. Sweet though.

if that's the auction that ended a few days back, those were very overpriced by 400-500%. they were simply coda made rings, nothing special. sets of three have generally sold for $50-100, not $600+.

deralex knows quite a bit about those cranks in the link. (as i understand things) those are magic's second version, which i also have a set of. the first version has the backside (front of arms) of the large ring bolt holes covered. interestingly, the shims used for the bb shell were from aluminum cans with the can printing still on one side.

The ones that ended recently were CODA versions at $200 each. I have a set, heck for that amount of money I should sell my chainrings...LOL.. I do agree that they went for more than they should have....at least from what I have seen in the last couple years on eBay...but I have not seen original Magic Motorcycle chainrings for sale as of yet...and I've been on eBay since the late 90's...most likely I have not looked for a set since I don't have that version of the cranks. Though I must say the original versions really are eye candy, even more so with some tastefull anodizing....
