rare hanebrink forks
(these forks were renowned for the damper blowing google them) the standard sealed damper has been replaced with the serviceable one from a hanebrink lts 9 fork ( the damper has a valve to pump it with a shock pump

m8 threaded bar is used in the spring leg as the m6 rod was bent
the forks offer between 6 an 7 inch of travel

i weigh 12 stone an cant bottom them out
the brake mount has been modifyied so a standard post mount caliper is used

the forks come with a 25mm specialised hub 203 avid rotor an tektro cable caliper

i should ad the axle is a piece of random steel tube
the bearing caps on the hub have been machined down a little too much there is movement between the hub an fork a approx 2mm spacer is needed

i m asking £60 posted

luvly. Mmm, hanebrink. Remind me of Zzyzx for craziness. Definitely worth £60... if I was into DH still.

Would these fit my frame, 1 1/8 and 223mm steerer?

steerer is 220mm so yeah they would

even though they have the better damper fitted they are quite pogoey an dont perform as well as modern forks

Ill be in touch.... really wanted a set with lock out for road use.

they cant be locked out

as i siad above there not exactly high performance compared to todays modern forks ( the price reflects this) but for a retro sunday ride they are fine

there are indeeed 1" 1/8 they have a wierd tapered steerer tube
