It seems then that the stories are true, which is a bit shite because I was planning on using it for a heap of stuff soon.

One thing I read was you can still get it to do the job in very warm temps, and get the same finish as old more coats.

Maybe try using a spray gun instead?

This really is a stupid issue to me and has caused me huge fking problems as a cabinetmaker[read -posh joiner]
AC or acid catalyst lacquer only comes off using acetone.

Acetone is no longer available in any sort of quantity. :shock: found that out from the look i got trying to order 20ltr of the stuff

90% of my earliest work is covered in AC so i cannot strip it off easily.I have some important jobs that need me to repair some cracking to the veneer underneath.
