Halo hex skewers

Lots of positive reviews but a worrying number of poor, snapped skewer related, ones too..

Anyone here got experience of them??

Is there a better (non-q/r skewer) alternative??

Got them on 3 of my bikes and no problems yet.

Mine rounded on second ride when re-installing the wheel at a trail centre.

The allen key isn't the best fit in the hole, so I don't go bananas when tightening them and so far, so good. Going by the reviews at Chain Reaction, quite a few people have had problems though, so perhaps the quality is also a bit variable.

I have some q/r's to use for now. . . being a bit ham-fisted I'm possibly not the ideal customer for this product

Seem alright to me, got a couple of pairs on various bikes.

I tried them in a rear facing dropout and they didn't work too well. But seem fine for a regular dropout.

Shimano QRs are plenty tight enough in track slots.
