Fairly brutalized Adroit frame

This bike sold on ebay last year or the year before. The previous owner did the modifications, not Klein. He had an Attitude as well that received much the same treatment.

at least two years ago - i remember the sale clearly.

"Filed off derailleur hanger" and "Tinkers Mom" were the keywords.

Wasn't the Boron added on before paint? I thought it came off normally when repainting is done.

Looks like the seller is doing the right thing, split and flip. Most cline buyers are either clever enough to know what they are buying or stupid enough to spend loads of money and not care.
There's a whole pile of flippers who sell hacked up, resprayed Klines with novel back stories out there, some even seem to do quite well out of it so this guys just following the trend and riding the wave.
I know what I'm going to do when I sell my hacked up resprayed klien.

Carbon not Boron, and it was added once the frame was welded up and aligned, then smoothed over with Bondo and then painted. It would not be removed if the frame was repainted.
