H.R. Bates circa 1952 bottom bracket size

I have a H.R Bates. It is almost identical to this: classiclightweights.co.uk/batesbar56.html

and I need to get a new bottom bracket for it. Does anyone know what size it takes?

I don't think Bates took anything specific, so a standard BSC cupset will work. As for the spindle length, it all depends on your chainset of choice.
