We sometimes get questions about why there aren't any GT bikes in the museum, so we've added this one today. Suspenders fork, Pro Stop disc, SE Pedersen U brake, Cook cranks......stamped "BLEM" on the drop out. Should clean up pretty nicely.

That, for some reason, just doesn't look right :? Might just be the forks......or that the frame looks HUGE!

It should be a 91 model. The original equipment was like this but with a GT saddle and Onza bar ends.
I've never seen a Suntour SE ubrake tho. Mine comes with XT. Is it an aftermarket upgrade or a special edition bike?

Is that a gusset on the top and downtube?

Guess these 20" frames needed the extra support. Pretty rare to see one this big, i thought GT only made Zaskers in <18" :)

EDIT: What does the BLEM signify, some sort of custom build? :?

I had a 20" Purple 91 that was stamped with BLEM. Mine was scuffed prior to anodizing, and the scuff was darker than the surrounding aluminum, hence the BLEMmish stamp. I also had a Scott-Pederson SE u-brake. The thing was a pig but it could crush a wheel.

Didn't the 1991 only come in silver?
