GT Zaskar Pro 2006

Hi, I have virtually the same frame only mines a 2007, I’m in the phase of collecting all my parts ready to build up the frame but I’m a little stumped as to what type of headset to order. My last couple of project bikes have been Avalanches which take a semi integrated type headset 44mm ID(cups pressed into frame) the Zaskar however is 41mm ID and I have a feeling it may be integrated (bearings pressed directly into frame no cups) question: do you happen to know what headset you used in your 06 Zaskar?

It’s likely a IS41 headset. If I remember correctly there are no headset cups on this generation of frames necessary.

My 2006 frame used a fsa orbit carbon integrated headset. The bearings just sit in the top and bottom of the headtube, they didn't need pressed in. I think they were 45 degree bearings

Sorry should clarify my frame is an alloy 2007 GT Zaskar Pro
