Here's my once defunct GT RTS back on the road having come from the shed like a phoenix from the flames

Cracked rear stays replaced with a jammy 'is that some stays in the back of a photograph selling some random parts' spot on ebay.

New lovely easton ea70 stem from Skeelsie (thanks)

Old skool XT STI shifters from nutcase-retro (thanks)

Magura racelines gone and replaced with deore V brakes and some simple cabling adjustment

New Fire XC Pro tyres (couldn't resist) from Cycle Sports in the sale

New M520 spuds from CRC (i know the plastic is still on)

GT Bars and no name bar ends from my Karakoram

Thanks to ishaw and pickle for their RTS expertise and input

I'm thinking the grips are too much  Wasn't planning on a red / silver / black scheme - just sort of happened

Took her out this morning to find a really annoying stiff chain link. New chain ordered and cones to be tightened up on the back wheel.

My first project complete - sh*t this is addictive!

Thoughts, opinions, advice very welcome.

Like it. Nice to see it rolling once again.

Regarding the bushes, can you lift the rear end of the bike up slightly with the wheel remaining on the ground. Sounds daft, but we're only talking a cm or so here. If so, the bushes may be worn. Not too worry if so, as they're not expensive to replace.

Grips and tyres are a little loud for my taste, but thats just me. Remember, less is more

the grips are going to go. rush of blood on the hottest saturday of the year in Evans...

Ashamedly I quite like the tyres

i'll check later on the bushings -

Where are the bushing sets on an RTS?

Having never ridden a proper build I'm not sure if it's just the way it rides !
