GT paint schemes

Blue Widow, Tequila Sunrise, Galactic Fade, Daktari White, Midnight Aurora,
Snowstorm, Arctic Snowstorm, Purple Haze, Nimbus, Inferno, Moody Blue,
Night Sky, Blacklight, Hydro Blue, Glacier Green, Purple Rain, Dry Ice,
All classics....amazing to see some of the processes that they went through to get these finishes. Most were on the conveyor going through the paint booth a third of fourth time before completed.

Many of their solid colors and of coarse the ano colors were killer too.

Modern paint schemes just don't cut it in my opinion. Plain colours with decals to jazz it up. And always white it seems... :-(

I am more impressed with the early 90's Gt paint jobs than a Klein. the Kleins were made in reasonably small numbers for high prices so you'd expect a quality paint. They had the time to do it and were charging you for it!!

However the GT's had impressive paint on their £200 bikes, as has said above going through many stages to get the finish. And this was done for presumably tens of thousands of frames, not just a few hundred.

Even better than that they seem to be incredibly tough finishes. Even a badly abused bike will only have a few chips here and there. You have to leave them somewhere pretty wet for a long period for anything worse to happen.

I really want a Rocky Mountain as they seem to have the same attention to great paintwork. One day maybe..

agreed 91 ws a good year for gt colour's ,my faves are the inferno/Tequila Sunrise colours love the team scream too.
