i might be being overly cynical but this seems a bit suspicious to me, the guy selling it doesn't seem to know much about bikes. obviously there's nothing wrong with that, but still this seems to set a little alarm bell ringing...
incidentally, have we got a 'stolen' noticeboard on retrobike? with the number of people scouring the bay etc and the number of posh spangly bikes we all seem to cherish perhaps having a (maybe members-only?) stolen noticeboard section could be an idea. apologies if this already exists or if it's been brought up before.
