Just finished my GT Borrego build.
Picked up the bike itself from @ceo and some other pieces from @ishaw
As far as I'm aware it's a 1996 model. It came with the Deore LX group in its entirety plus some pieces.
The plan originally was a pub bike but once the build began it changed into a MTB build.
I swapped out some bits to include ;
Chris King headset
Azonic bars
NOS Azonic stem
NOS Mavic 717 rims built on Hope RS4 hubs in smoke colour
San Marco Concor saddle
Ritchey seatpost
Ritchey foam grips
Panaracer Smoke and Dart tyres
Hope seatclamp in smoke colour
Then just stripped , cleaned and went over any scratches with a paint pen without being too obvious.
The bike is super nice , light and just nice overall.
