Cradle of Filth.

Not my cup of tea but Dani Filth was amazing on Never Mind the Buzzcocks.

If feeling a bit dark....

Try Nimphetamine by COF:

pretty nice riff on that one actually!

R.I.P. Pete you legend! 'My soul's on Fire!!!'

+1 for Blood Sugar Sex Magic being in the top 100 albums ever. Never bettered by RHCP, but I loved 'Otherside' on Californication.

Always thought the chilis were over-rated.

Saw them way down the lineup at a festival in Holland that the Mission were headlining in 1990 and found them very unmemorable, apart from the flourescent makeup.

Their version of "Higher Ground" is their most memorable moment.

RHCP are one of the most overated bands ever...but in a mainstream way...
I loved being a fan back in 91 and watching everyone jump on the bandwagon when Californication came out.

Those era's are as different as night & day IMO.

One of the best acts ive ever had the sublime pleasure to witness is Nine Inch Nails.
Saw their last ever UK gig last year, but was also at a festival in Austria when they played to what Trent later described as one of the most miserable unresponsive crowds he ever had the displeasure of playing to.

The anger it fuelled in the band added extra raw nerve to their act. It was magic.
Me and my english and canadian pal's were in awe... 'PIG's!!!'

Agree on the RHCP, they just aren't as good as they should be really considering their indiviidual talents.

Never liked Type-O or the Filth I'm afraid.

The goth in me is still stuck in the 80s. The Banshees, Joy Division, the Sisters, Bauhaus and early Cult fulfil all my "dark" needs. There's not really been a decent goth band this decade. And it's not because I've not been looking.

"Dragons" and the Dead Guitars (germany) are rather good though - but they're all old guys from the 80s/90s doing new stuff.

how could I forget to mention ARCADE FIRE ??!

Keep the car running is one of my favourite ever tracks. ever ever.
