Hi.

I'm wondering how much the ratchet tools weigh?

I appreciate that the skewers are light ... 54.5 grams together ... and that when the bike is left outside the fish 'n chip joint no one will be able to sneak away with a wheel ...

... but you'd be carrying the ratchet tools with you in case of flats, right? In which case you may be better of with regular quick releases? (provided you didn't need to leave your bike outside the shops).

A good point Frank, yes you'd have to pop the ratchet tool on your keyring or in your tool kit if you were out for a ride. I guess the appeal of these is for those who count the grams or those looking for a super rare set of skewers for their project. The fact that your wheels would be very difficult to steal without the very scarce tool is also a bonus!
