Hi everyone, Im real cheesed off because i have just had my bike nicked.

It just really gets to me because i have just put a lot of work into it.

The Bike. Well it wasnt great to be honest but it did me fine and i used it everyday. It was a Fuji frame in an orange colour with newly polished silver stem, bars and seatpost, a really shiny stx rear mech and the same goes for the cranks and rings. The wheels were Mavic rims (231 cd maybe?) on xt hubs with some hutchison iguana new tyres on.
The brakes were lx vees just put on last week as a very kind karma gift courtesy of the Caramba Kid cheers mate  and the controls were new crap deore stuff so its not the value ofthe kit its the fact that i cant afford to replace it and now me dog is gonna suffer as well cos some bastard wanted to get home from the pub.

The only consolation is that it was only out the front cos the mrs wanted it out of the kitchen (because i was working on it and it was in the way, i just forgot it was out there) and someone had it away with the extra links in the chain so it was slipping and i hope they whacked their knee when they were cranking away and the chain slipped on em.

That's an idea- decoy bikes to injure thieves.........I'm for a three inch spike spring in the seat tube, activated by the front mech. That would lairn them!! :P

Keep an eye out, sooner or later you'll probably find a local scrote with it, they seam to be attracted to shiny bits.
Brush painted matt black is the favorite cover up job for nicked bikes around these parts, I have seen bikes around covered in the stuff including rims/spokes and side walls.
