Well my view is if your a christian an you love your same sex partner, why not ?

or does it state in the bible that man cannot lay with a man (woman/woman), or was that a beast or animal ?

Can't see the big deal, either go for a civil partnership if your not really religious or maybe reconsider being a christian if they don't respect you and your sexuality.

I think if God exists, he would say, yup all welcome, just love each other and put something in the tray they hand round at church.

I believe that it say a man may not sleep with a man.. But at the same time I'm all for freedom of choice aslong as it's with someone who's an adult, male or female.

People should read some of the alternate texts that're out there.

My take is this - gay civil marriages (registry office things) - why the hell not?

As to religious marriages, well, I have no religion or faith / belief - but all the same, I don't think legislation should be brought in to impose this on religions - by the same token, they should have that freedom, too - whether I (or others) think it's good or not.

IMNSHO religions spend too much time slathering over detail of man made texts, from many moons ago, than what their beliefs are truly about. Do they really believe that whatever deity they choose to worship, really is so narrow minded? Or just the hints, allegories, and vague contradictions of the man made accounts?

The only issue I have with it is like many minority groups whilst demanding they be treated equally it often means being MORE equal than anyone else and riding rough shod over others wishes and feelings to gain thier wishes at the cost of others. Something they say others do to them and is unfair.

I think Gay feelings are as real as straight therefore equal in every sence.

But I think christian books are hog wash, so I'm worried that gay people or any people have to get validated by a religion.........make up your own, it would be more fun any way :D

To be equitable, there's always posturing loud-mouths on both sides, looking to make something more of it than needs to be.

My belief is that we shouldn't impose on religions to have to do something they feel strongly against - even if most of society doesn't agree with 'em over it.

By the same token, I see absolutely no reason why gay couples shouldn't be able to have full, legal weddings if they so choose - who does it harm, assuming we're not imposing it on any groups?

What I fail to give any credence to, is those in society who say it damages the institution, or the concept of family, or something like that. Truth be told, I fail to see how gay people choosing to get married affects anybody, who doesn't choose to be involved.
