and does any of you use the free map share thing, so you can post up routes?

look at this link here to a guy with the same bike as me, he uploads maps of his places, and i want to do it too....i have set the page to no4 as thats where he starts to post maps....

got a sdcard installed

unzipped the british map and put on the card

put it back in the garmin and nothing has changed? :?

Hi, sorry about the delay in the reply.

I did mine in a haze of Carling lager which didn't help but the main problem I had was messing about renaming the files so that the Garmin ignores the internal map and looks at the map on the memory card.

I'll have a look at the files I have (different laptop) but somewhere in the instructions it tells you to rename the files

Hmmm I had similar issues , I could not get it to read from the sd card once I moved the file from the card into the main menu of the garmin it worked straight away. :?

Thought people might be interested to see these. I was doing intervals last night. basically, going fast lap, slow lap on a 2.5 mile lap. As well as pain it produced the attached images which are taken from the Google Earth export.

I can say that although I got a bit wobbly at times I didn't deviate this much! Having said that, I am very glad I got my 800. It makes riding anywhere a lot more interesting.
