Funk unicorn

According to the Funk literature the Force G was made from Columbus Altec OR (see #114), so I assumed that the Force GS was as well. I went off and bought a NOS decal with the view that I might want to polish the frame at some point in the future and add it to the frame. However, I don't think that's the case now... Danson sent over some technical literature for this tube set and the diameter of the Altec downtube (42mm) is smaller that the tube used on the Force GS plus Columbus didn't supply an "S" bend seat stay whereas Easton did, so I'm assuming it's VariLite as Funk used this for the Pro Comp and Durango's.

Anyone got a NOS VariLite decal?

Have to agree with the earlier comments, that B&W photo looks really nice

Who made the decals Caspar ? Need some of those engineered in USA ones for my Durango. Nice work on the GS btw 😉
They were draw up by my misus using the photos you send me! I then send the file over to Gil and he made them.

After finishing the Tequila Crested Butte this was looking a little ropey, so I decided to strip it down and polish the frame. Thankfully, I hadn't gotten around to actually starting the polishing as something else came up that I think the blue parts will look better on.

After splitting the parts, I've decided that I'm going to paint this in the Blaze paint scheme. Not sure what your thoughts are but I think it should look pretty good as I've seen a couple of Yeti's that use a red/black combo.

Made a start on sorting the chain suck but the wheels are going to need surgery as I need the hubs for other projects.

Sorted the rear hub and I'm now on the hunt for the front. Pretty sure that I'm not going to be able to reuse the bladed spokes though  .View attachment 1020661
