Front derailleurs (3x9) - inform the ignorant

thats a bog standard mech from a while ago

STX-RC,Deore, LX and XT all used similar designs and are interchangeable by removing a little washer and you can change top-pull to bottom pull and so-on

I have a few spare mechs here for the cost of postage

if you want one

Ok mate any chance you can show me how to change top pull to bottom pull and is this possible with xtr m900 I looking for derailieurs at moment so would help cheers

Below are two Deore XT M739 mechs, one is 31.8, one is 34.9. One top pull, one bottom.
The mechanism is the same, only that grey part differs. Remove the clips arrowed and swap the parts. Obviously there are springs inside so take care not to lose one, or hurt yourself. It's fiddly at first but easy when you know how.
