I’d never go back to commuting with friction dt shifters. Lost count of the times I’d reach down to trim a gear when I really needed to keep both hands on the bars because of a car being an arse, incoming pothole, drain, glass etc. Eliminated that with indexed shifters. One less thing to have to think about when I really need to be concentrating on the surroundings.
