France to UK shipping advice

Trying to get a bmx shipped from france to the uk (ebay win). Seller quoted 40 euros approx to ship. This has now risen to 96 via 'chrono classic'.

Any of the french forum members recommend a cheap courier who he might use to get the cost down?

as I said , easier would be post office .
