I'll tell you, it was £170 for the frame, and £90 for the forks.
That's for the front head lugs, the fork crown, the fork dropouts and 6" up the rake, and the rear track ends and 6" up the seatstays and chainstays.
The bloke explained that they actually chrome the whole frame and just polish the areas required, as it's easier than having to build jigs to just dip specific parts of the frame.
He said I could go somewhere else that would give me a cheaper quote. But looking at the hetchins frames they do, and the fact that C&G wouldn't recommend anyone else, I'd rather pay a premium and have the job done properly without hassle first time.
