Fork Help

Well I have got a Pace 36 evos, but it has the carbon bridges on it, and I have spoke to tim and there are no alloy ones to suit.. so this is where I am a bit stuck....

The problem is that nobody who bought that frame in 97 would have fitted cantis, no matter how pretty the cable hanger is. So there weren't many 97 forks made with canti hangers. Nor were here many 97 forks with 80mm travel. And you're eliminating the three main manufacturers. So you're giving yourself a hard time really!

Early WHITE BROS

Im sure WHITE BROTHERS 96 forks had cable hangers??

Now finding one :(

I rigged up a rocker like the old SUNTOUR one through the hole on the bridge of some 97 ROCK SHOX JUDY forks...

It worked

I still got it somewere...

I'm sure if you asked there must be someone who would trade a 97 RC36 for your Evos. Then you could fit canti's Alternativly have you thought of having an alloy brace cut and drilled for a rocker? or ever the possibility of drilling the carbon brace?

I had thought about drilling the carbon bridge , but then its finding some sort of hanger that I could use in it/fix to and again that is opening up another can of worms, I would assume it would be strong enough but its not ideal.. the easiest solution is to use vs all round but I dont want to make the hand redundant on the frame so it means matching up cantis front and rear.. so can anyone suggest some sort of bolt on hanger that I can either buy new or can buy off someone on here , I am looking to run a custom made rigid fork on the bike at some point , but initially before I spend out on that I want to make sure the bike feels right, and also I want the option of running a suspension fork on it anyway...I dont really want to have to change the suspension fork but if someone wants to do some sort of swop I may consider it...

Ideas , suggestions ?

Do I just give up and give in to Vs
