My grandad was ace at bowls. Still have the heavy canvas bowls bag he had, it's full of tools and spares in the back of my car.
Noticed our local bowls club is trying to actract new blood by offereing free membership with a surprisingly nifty poster campaign around town. Looks like a mellow way to spend an afternoon too- mmmmmm, now where did he keep those bowls?

I used to play bowls all the time as a kid due to having a bowling club on the park in my street, Loved it, Haven't played for years though now.

My mum got us a set of carpet bowls when we were kids.

My mum ended up hiding them from my brother and I due to us having a competition to see who could hit the jack the hardest. Ooops there goes another potted plant!
