Bought this wreck of a Fondriest a couple of years ago, the cromovelato finish was flaking off all over, the saddle was snapped forward of the seat post, the rear mech was missing a lower jockey wheel. BUT, it had chrome head lugs and I fell in love.
So, off came the hammered 600 Ultegra 8 speed group, the mis-matched wheels (front on an unbranded nutted hub) and the rather nice Shimano stem, and off it went to the UK, for a respray at Bob Jackson.
When it returned, it got a full Dura Ace 9 speed group (shifters are Ultegra, as they have a working Flight Deck), Mavic CXP30s and a ridiculous white Turbo.
Will try and post some better pics (just looked at these and they are awful!).
