Fluro and Splatter Marin Eldridge Grade, all original.

Hi there,

a really nice bike there. I'm not interested in buying at the moment but i'm interested in your frame number because got a similar Eldridge Grade.

Greetz from Germany,

Adam

It tells me that your Eldridge is from the same factory. The M stands for Marvel factory. Mine is older. The third digit tells the production date. That means 1991 in your case. My Eldridge was produced in 1990.
But enough with the nerd talk.
If i was you i would keep this beauty.

Juice, thanks for the education, where was the Marvel factory?

I've got another Marin with number JRE 471312, can you decipher that too?

I'd love to hang on to the Eldridge. It is a cracker but its time for someone else to enjoy it for a while - and that someone could be alexp5 if he can get to Stratford.

I think all these factories where located in the far east.

JRE 471312
No i can't decipher that number. I can only guess. The number has 9 digits. That means it is pre 1998 in the Marin world. But it doesn't look like a Marin frame number to me at all. Maybe it's a modern Marin but i thought modern Marins use 10 digits.

Ask the forum user Benandemu. He has more in depth knowledge on this topic.

Here is a thread about Marin Frame numbers:

But there is no hint to a number starting with JRE.
