Fitting BB7

Bit of advice peeps.

I wanna fit a BB7 disc brake to a pair of RockShock SID's what size rotor will I need?

I feel like you're gonna need more info to answer this...But what?

Why does everyone one E bay spell it "front BREAK"

What mount does the Sid fork have?

The Sid might only be warranted for 160mm discs, it depends on which year model they are.

They are a retro set of forks gonna try putting a photo in post

steveonstumpy I'm not 100% sure but I'd say 160mm rotor with those forks, a RS Expert may confirm this

Looks like a standard IS mount so you shouldn't have any problems with the BB7, depending on which adaptor it currently has, adaptors are easy to source for IS mount and pretty cheap new, even cheaper 2nd hand

I have got Middleburn Duo & XTR g/set waiting in the wings.

Anyone had any experience with the Avid stuff on Ebay being sold from Hong Kong?

I assume its counterfeit...I gotta stop moaning about other peoples spelling & then using words like that

Theyre probably legit I reckon. Looks like they come with adapters for 'IS' mount like your SID has. The supplied rotors should be fine. If you fancy saving a few grams there are some nice lightweight rotors from a company called Ashima on eBay.
