Decided to through some serious cash into my new project. Plan is to keep entirely to the preriod using New-Old-Stock parts. So far, have sourced Michelin Wildgrippers, DX V Brake Kit, M563 LX Crankset and M560 LX Hubs. Frame will be restored and re-painted just as soon as I find suitable transfrers for the frame and forks. Will keep updating as it progresses and welcome comments, remarks and suggestions.

Thanks for the links. I'm aware of the original spec but am going away from this whilst keeping to the period. As I was growing up, it was always a bike I wanted. I could never afford the cost up front only earning £20 a week from my Saturday job. To my dismay, my parents bought me a Raleigh Max Cro-Mo 3 instead, not to be determined, I spent all of my money upgrading the group set to full LX, a little at a time. So, the Kona will be the bike I always wanted in the spec it would have been.

I'm Cool with that, sometimes building a spec perfect bike can be stressful so takes the fun out.
But yeah, I'll be happy to put other bits on mine too as long as they're from the right period.
Make sure you always look/ask for bits on here first as well - people on here have been very helpful and resourceful for me and also prices are realistic........ Unlike eBay
