Nice.. for me i would treat it to some tyres. Those "red/pink/white now" walls are letting the bike down looks wise.

Might wanna look at not only dremel'in but treating the shock qr. if its a keeper and not a replaceable item. bit of krust/primer and paint would be better. dremel will just tidiy it till it goes rusty again.

You're right about the tyres, I reckon. I'll see what it's like as a rider and then if, as looks likely I decide he's a keeper I'll get some replacements

Well i decided to have a look at your little Marin after you telling me it was a good un and i must say i'm pretty well impressed with how it's turned out which is a bit confusing seen as i'd never been a real fan of full susser's so didn't expect myself to b that interested and i can't see now't wrong with washing tyres in the washer if it gets em clean as just like i didn't find now't wrong with cleaning my side repeaters off my car in the dish washer as they came up real nice ..
