Finally let me down....

After 20 years sterling service my Carnac shoes let me down today. Last time I wore them it was a hot day, and the Velcro strap had parted from the rest of the strap. Stuck it back and carried on! Today I'd just set off when the two had come apart permanently....

I managed to bodge a fix borrowing a shoe lace from my trainers .....

Any suggestions what glue i should use to refix them?

the strap has both parts of the velcro on it - as it doubles back through a metal loop one of those pieces of velcro has come away from the webbing. Will take pics tomorrow - they're still busy drying out from a very soggy ride !

The metal loop popped off on my crane supermarket ones. I stitched the loop back on with fishing line, around 14lb weight, and a heavy duty needle, never bother me since doesn't rot like cotton thread either.

Find someone with a sewing machine (or buy a needle) and stitch the velcro back on. No probs.
