here is one which gave me a chuckle when watched

The Ice Storm
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119349/?ref_=fn_all_ttl_1

picture released 1997

story takes place in the suburban Connecticut of 1973

includes scenes where character rides cycle seamlessly between street and sidewalk and back with the aid of curb cuts

curb cuts in sidewalks for disabled persons were mandated into national U.S. law in 1991 as part of the Americans With Disabilites Act, or ADA for short

mandates were phased in over a period of several years so did not come into effect all at once

in any case they did not exist in 1973

Early scene in "Yesterday" that gets the whole ball rolling. Same thing never happens to me when I get hit by buses.

Too obvious: "The Cyclist"; the early one ('80s); there is another by the same name but more modern and unrelated plot to earlier movie.

Modern movie: "Phantomschmerz"/"Phantom Pain"

Peter O'toole in the "Rogue Male" buys a tandem out from under a couple out cycling.

A lot of kids riding bikes in "Super8" and "Echo"

Rogue Male is a remake of a 1941 picture starring Walter Pidgeon & Joan Bennett entitled Man Hunt
both are based on the novel by Geoffrey Household

me recollection be that thar be no cycle featured in the original, but then has been about five decades since having a viewing...

purchase of the tandem in the later edition has a comedic moment when Thorndike says he would like to purchase it and how much does the owner want for it

owner replies "fifteen bob" (story takes place in July of 1939) whereupon his girlfriend blurts out "but you said you could make one for a tenner"
