Favourite method for stuck cranks

Another method which i find works a treat is loctiting your crank puller onto the partially stripped threads and leaving overnight.

Works every time for me.

Another gent I know made up a slightly oversized puller which cuts new threads for really tough jobs and where you want to save the cranks etc and it gets the most stuborn cranks of in a matter of minutes.

I'd say this is the ultimate option for those with a lathe and a suitable amount of spare time

... you don't get to smash something with a lump hammer!


In all seriousness, that is a very good option, though I dare say you would have to be very careful how oversize to make it for fear of cracking the cranks that needed removing (talking cranks worth saving here!)
