172,000 - should good for 250,000. I looked after this one too.

Which engine is this ?

I have 2 passats with the 110 (172,000 miles) and a 130 (71,000).
To be fair neither were as good as my 90 bhp vento that i got rid of at 200,000 when it failed the mot on rusty sills. The paint work on that car was rubbish.

My 130 has irritating, but not critical problems. Loke sometimes the tailgate does not open. Maybe the catch/switch needs changing.

mine is the AWX 130, I've put about 90,000 in two years without too many issues


I think its just the luck of the draw with any car - some seem to go on forever, whereas some are just badly put together.
