Fancying Some Rigid Forks Now - Length Question

I have some Pace RC36 Stealths fitted to the freshly built Kona.

Thing is, after riding it with the forks locked out I'm quite fancying replacing them with some rigid forks.

The axle to headset race seat measures 44.5cm on the Pace forks & I have been looking at these - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/eXotic-Rigid-Carb ... 2c545fae84

The thing is I can't decode whether I should go for 44.5cm or 42.5cm to allow for the droop in compression in the PAce fork length when riding.

I wouldn't go too cheap with carbon forks.

A fork is one of the few things on a bike that is really dangerous when it fails. This one might be fine, or it might not; problem is, you'll only find out as your chin hits the floor!

How about a P2? They're a good fork, and probably not that much heavier.

id go with the 445 ones as this will keep the frame as is pretty much. i think the smaller ones would make too much of a difference. i dont think there would be that much sag to buy the smaller forks

445mm a-c on the Pace forks would indicate 63mm travel? Ideally you would want 415mm rigids to match the geometry. Project 2s would be a good idea! :D

oh i didnt read it was for a kona
now i agree with suburbanreuben but id go for the 425(cus theyre inbetween)
